REASONS OF DRY, CHAPPED AND DARK LIPS
Our remedies will work 50% of their job if we use them without knowing the actual cause of our lips problems. Because just keep on treating our lips externally is not the right option. Treating them from inside is equally important for better results. So, first of all let's see the reasons why we face lips problem.
Too hot drinks:
Our lips are the softest and sensitive part of our body. Because the skin of our lips is much thinner than
the skin on any other part of our body. This makes it easier for them to
be easily harmed by heat. Drinking too hot coffee, tea or any drink can result
darker lips. Most of us are unaware about this fact and generally ignore it in
our hectic life.
Lip balms with no SPF:
Our lips can also be damaged by harmful radiations coming
from sun. Some people use lip balms that have no SPF. So, before buying any Lip
balms, always check whether it has SPF or not. Stay away from the balms with no
SPF.
Diet:
In our today’s busy and polluted life, it is very difficult to maintain a
healthy diet. Junk food, alcohol, smoking can cause harm to our lips. For
having soft, pink and beautiful lips stick to a proper healthy diet.
Avoid low quality lipsticks:
Low quality lipsticks is also one of the major reason of
dark lips. Stay away from such products!
Water:

increase your water intake to 8-10 glasses per day.
STEP 1: LIPS EXFOLIATION
First
step of any Skin care routine whether it is your face or lips is preparing it.
So that the skin becomes
more absorbent for the products to follow. For preparing lips, we need to
exfoliate our lips. Exfoliation increases blood circulation of lips and helps
to remove dead skin from the lips. Thus lips become smooth and soft. There are
some methods for exfoliation of lips using home remedies.
Tooth brush:
Take a tooth brush. Apply some honey over the brush. Now gently rub that brush
with honey over your lips. If you are doing this step daily, then you can rub the
brush for 2 minutes. Otherwise you can do this twice a week by rubbing it for
10 minutes.
Salt:
Take a slice of lemon. Dip this lemon slice in salt. Now rub this lemon slice
on your lips for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes wipe your lips or wash with water.
Sugar:
Take a slice of lemon. Dip this lemon slice in sugar. Now rub this lemon slice
on your lips for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes wipe your lips or wash with water.
Coffee powder:
Mix coffee powder and honey in equal ratio and make a thick paste. Now rub this
paste over your lips for 2 minutes. After 2 minutes wash your lips with water.
STEP 2: LIPS MOISTURIZATION
After
exfoliation, our lips are now ready for the further step that is
moisturization. Moisturization is must for lips. Here we have some home
remedies for moisturizing lips.
Vitamin E oil:
Vitamin E improves blood circulation
and helps to generate new skin cells, thus makes your lips softer.
If you have Vitamin E capsules, you
can simply cut one end and apply the product directly to your lips. With daily
use, you will see dominant change in your lips.

Almond oil:
Almond oil is
one more great home remedy to cure lips naturally. It takes the dry lips on a
bigger hydration, moisturization, and protection against the dry air, cold wind
or harsh weather of winter.
Apply few drops of Almond oil on lips and massage for few minutes before going to sleep. This will increase blood circulation in your lips and will make lips softer and pink.

Milk Cream or Ghee:
